Small works

This chapter gathers smaller pieces made alongside the larger paintings. They are not studies in the traditional sense, but moments of focus. At this scale, decisions feel immediate. The gesture stays visible. Nothing can hide.

Working small changes the rhythm of the studio. The image becomes closer, more contained, yet the same concerns remain. Body and landscape still meet. Memory still shapes the space. These works hold the same tension as the larger paintings, but in a more intimate register.
