Huellas en tránsito

Footprints in transit

This series follows the foot as a symbol of movement — of forced departure, arrival, waiting, and return. Each work traces the weight, memory, and direction carried in every step.

Here, feet are more than the bodies they belong to — they are collective, borrowed, mine and not mine. They hold the marks of places crossed and the stories left behind.

The works move between playfulness, tenderness, and rawness, using layered materials — canvas, stitched paper, oil sticks, dry pigments, pastels, and oils — to mirror the shifting terrain of the body in transit.

Through these pieces, the footprint becomes a record of passage: a mark of presence, a trace of becoming, and a reminder of the ground that shapes us back.
